Privacy Policy
Scorecerer is a scorepad for the card game Wizard. It is built to work entirely on your phone.
What we collect
Nothing ourselves. Scorecerer has no accounts, no sign-in and no analytics. We do not operate a server, and your games are never uploaded to us.
Advertising
The free version shows one small banner ad, served by Google AdMob, on the between-rounds results screen. To serve and measure that ad, Google may collect your IP address (which gives an approximate location), device identifiers, and information about the ads shown and tapped, along with crash and performance diagnostics from its SDK. Google uses this as described in its policy on how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and some US states), the app asks for your consent with Google's consent form before requesting ads, and Settings → Ad privacy choices lets you change your answer later. On iOS the app never asks to track you and does not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA).
Buying Scorecerer Pro removes the ad. With Pro, the app does not start the ads SDK at all, so no ad requests are made.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter — player names, bids, tricks taken, scores, finished games and your settings —
is saved only in the app's own private storage on your device (NSUserDefaults on iOS,
SharedPreferences on Android). It is readable only by Scorecerer.
Deleting the app deletes this data. We cannot recover it for you, because we never had it.
Sharing
Two features send data out of the app, and only when you tap them:
- Share the card hands a text summary of a finished game to your phone's system share sheet. You choose the destination. Nothing is sent anywhere until you do.
- Back up hands the same private data to the share sheet as text, so you can save or send it yourself. Where it goes is entirely your choice.
Purchases
Scorecerer offers one optional one-time purchase, Scorecerer Pro, which unlocks additional house rules. The transaction is handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details, and we receive no personal information from the stores — only whether the product has been paid for on that device.
Children
Scorecerer is not directed at children under 13, and we collect no personal information from anyone ourselves. Ads are served by Google AdMob as described above.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new date.
